Injuries Stopped Success
Umtiti seemed to be starting to revive his career, however a serious knee injury shook these hopes.
According to the French publication RMC Sport, ahead of his 32nd birthday, Umtiti is considering retirement.
This player, whom Barcelona bought for 21 million pounds, is currently a free agent after his contract with Lille ended in the summer.
RMC also notes that Umtiti was spotted at Lyon's training ground on Friday.
As a Lyon academy graduate, he requested the club's management to record a personal video on the club's grounds, which was done.
However, a return to the field is not in his plans.
It seems that he intends to end his career due to ongoing injuries.
Important Achievements
