Russia started evacuating its military equipment from Syria
The Russian army has begun a large-scale evacuation of its equipment from its bases in Syria due to the complex political situation in the region. International reaction to the situation
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres called for an 'inclusive political process' and a 'smooth transition of power in Syria'. He also condemned Israel's airstrikes on Syrian territory, calling them a 'violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity' of the country.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz reported that Israeli forces will be stationed on Mount Hermon throughout the winter. This mountain is located on the border between Lebanon and Syria. Its capture by Israeli forces occurred after the retreat of Syrian troops.
