The Trump Administration reached out to Ukraine with a proposal to replace the resolution condemning Russia's war with a less restrained statement from the USA. Ukraine's proposal was rejected as it considered the new statement to be pro-Russian. According to an official representative, Washington initially demanded changes to the Ukrainian resolution and then proposed its own version. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky ordered not to withdraw the existing resolution. The Trump administration's request is 'shocking' as it speaks more about appeasing Putin than about achieving peace. This move by the Trump administration is met with surprise and criticism.
