Lawler, who is celebrating his 75th anniversary, was scheduled to attend the Horrorhound convention in Cincinnati last Friday.

Event organizers announced on Monday that his absence was due to 'personal matters.'

It has now been revealed that this is Lawler's third stroke in the last seven years that has forced him to cancel an appearance.

According to TMZ, he is already recovering from his latest medical incident.

The incident occurred in one of his homes in Florida on Friday.

His daughter Heather, who is 56, is transporting him back to his primary home, where he plans to rest and recover for 'a few weeks' before returning to normal life.

ESPN previously reported that in 2023 Lawler was hospitalized after a severe stroke.

This happened five years after his first stroke.

In 2012, the former wrestler suffered a heart attack during a WWE Monday Night Raw broadcast.

Fans are actively taking to social media to express their wishes for Lawler's quick recovery:

One of them wrote:

“I hope he fully recovers.”

Another added:

“Get well soon, King!”

A third noted:

“We pray for his recovery.”

A fourth wrote:

“Heal up, old friend.”

Another fan added:

“Get well, Jerry. He was the best bad guy.”

Lawler last appeared on screen in February of this year during WWE SmackDown in Tennessee.

His career in WWE spans over 50 years; he also became a commentator on Monday Night Raw alongside Jim Ross.
