According to The Sun: Amanda Holden and Alan Carr's friends humorously worked on restoring an old house in southern Spain last year, and now it is possible to stay in this location. In January 2024, they managed to renovate a property in Moclin, Granada.

This villa previously served as a local shop but has been vacant for 35 years before it was purchased for a show. During the renovation, the couple enjoyed sangria and tapas, trying to bring back to life what is now called Casa Alamanda.

Guest Amenities

Inside, guests will find three double bedrooms, a kitchen, a dining room, two bathrooms, a game room, and a bar. The villa has been carefully renovated, from a bright dining room to a luxurious game room decorated with vivid wallpaper and shades of burnt orange.

The game room is located on the top floor, with a bar that offers views of the Sierra Nevada mountains from the balconies.

Each bedroom has a unique theme: one of them is inspired by the Alhambra Palace, with beautiful pink tiles and a large bed. French windows open onto balconies that overlook the village square.

The 'Golden Bedroom' is decorated with golden wallpaper and rattan elements, as well as having a bathroom with a shower and a full-length mirror.

Prices and Availability

Prices depend on the season: in high season, from May 1 to October 15, 2026, the cost starts at €225 per night or €1,575 per week. In low season, from October 15, 2025, to April 30, 2026, prices start at €195 per night and €1,365 per week.

Up to six people can stay here, making it an ideal option for groups. The place is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and has everything necessary for a comfortable stay.

The village of Moclin is famous for its medieval Moorish castle on top of the hill. Travelers from the UK can reach Moclin by flying to Granada or Malaga, and then renting a car for further travel.
