ECMT launches a digital system for carriers: what will change from November 1

According to inkorr.com: From November 1, 2025, carriers will have the opportunity to use a new digital system to provide information about their activities. This decision was made during the meeting of the European Conference of Ministers of Transport, where the API exchange and Ukraine's active participation were recognized as important steps for implementing the new system.

Review of implementation experience

The meeting participants discussed the preparation for the implementation of the ECMT electronic permits system for international freight transport. Each participating country will introduce a three-month period for carriers during inspections, but urges them to be attentive and timely fill in information about each transport in the system.

Ukraine's readiness

Ukraine, which is actively testing the system, has already confirmed its readiness to integrate its data into the ECMT digital system. This means that from the beginning of the new year, the test system will be turned off, and all carriers will need to transfer their data to the new main system.

The implementation of the new digital system promises to simplify the processes of international transportation and make them more transparent. It is important for carriers to quickly adapt to new requirements, as this will allow them to avoid inconveniences during the transition to new reporting formats. Successful data integration into the new system also emphasizes Ukraine's growing role in European transport initiatives.
