The Pension Fund will recalculate subsidies from October 1: who needs to apply.
According to inkorr.com: From October 1, the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU) will start mass recalculation of housing subsidies in preparation for the heating season. Most Ukrainians will receive subsidies automatically, however, some categories of citizens will need to personally contact the Fund to update their information.
Automatic Recalculation
According to Iryna Kovalchuk, the automatic recalculation will be carried out for all households that have already received a subsidy in the non-heating period and where no changes affecting its size have occurred. 'Essentially, all these people will receive an automatic recalculation,' she noted.
The Necessity of Personal Contact
Individuals must personally contact the Pension Fund if they:
- Are applying for a subsidy for the first time.
- Changes have occurred in the household composition.
Citizens must inform the PFU about all changes that may affect their eligibility for receiving a subsidy, otherwise, a recalculation may be based on outdated data.
Conditions for Obtaining a Subsidy
For calculating the subsidy, income for the I and II quarters of the current year and pensions for August of this year are taken into account.
Debt and Payments
If the debt for housing and communal services exceeds 680 hryvnias, this may be grounds for refusing to grant the subsidy. However, individuals who have entered into a debt restructuring agreement or have provided documents regarding its payment may receive the subsidy.
Payment Terms
The recalculated subsidy for October will be received by Ukrainians in November. 'The subsidy payment will be made for the previous month, for September. That is, the amount of calculated payments for the heating season... people will receive in November,' summarized Iryna Kovalchuk.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine begins the mass recalculation of housing subsidies from October 1, in order to prepare for the heating season. Most recipients of subsidies will receive them automatically; however, those who have undergone changes or are applying for the first time must contact the Fund. The new PFU requirements also regulate issues of debts for communal services and payment conditions to ensure fair conditions for Ukrainian citizens.
