Launch of the health screening program in Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: Starting in 2026, Ukraine plans to implement a national screening program for people aged 40 and over. The main goal of this initiative is the early detection of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and mental health issues. In 2026, the project budget will amount to 10 billion hryvnias.
Participants in the program will be able to undergo various tests and examinations that will help timely identify possible health problems. Upon completion of the screening, patients will receive recommendations and referrals for further treatment.
- Registration for screening and receiving results will be possible through the Diia app.
- Health care facilities that participate in the program must meet the established quality standards for medical services.
During the first year of the program, it is expected that no fewer than 5 million Ukrainians will take the screening.
This program is aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens and preventing serious diseases. A wide range of examinations and access to necessary treatment will ensure participants in the screenings. The implementation of this initiative may significantly increase public awareness regarding their health and prevent the development of many illnesses.
The launch of the screening program opens new opportunities for Ukrainians to improve their health. Early diagnosis and timely medical assistance can reduce the risk of complications and improve the overall health status of the population. These measures should become an important step toward forming a conscious attitude towards health in society.
