“We were unlucky with Tsigankov”. Unfortunate news came from Spain about our football player.
The head coach of the Spanish team "Girona", Michel, spoke about the injury of the Ukrainian midfielder Viktor Tsigankov. The player suffered a tendon injury of the biceps femoris in his left thigh in October and will be out for 3-4 weeks. The coach noted that they need to take care of such players, as playing every three days can lead to problems. Despite the large number of injured players, the team must do everything right to achieve victories.
The 26-year-old Tsigankov has been playing for "Girona" since 2023 and is one of the team's leaders.
Another Ukrainian, 27-year-old Dovbyk, played for "Girona" from 2023 to 2024 and became the top scorer of the last season of the Spanish championship. He transferred to "Roma" this summer and has already scored his first goal for his new team in the Europa League.
