Former One Direction band member Liam Payne died in Argentina. This occurred as a result of a fall from the third floor of a hotel. The musician was 31 years old. Reuters reports this.

It is noted that police received a call from a hotel in the Palermo district due to reports of an aggressive man who might have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

«When he regains consciousness, he destroys the entire room, and we need you to send someone,» said a hotel employee during the call, noting that the guest's life was in danger as there was a balcony in the room.

According to the hotel manager, he heard noise at the back of the building, and when police arrived, Liam Payne was already lying on the ground after falling from a balcony.

Rescuers confirmed the musician's death. He fell in the hotel's courtyard. His body was taken to the morgue amid applause from fans and witnesses gathered at the scene of the tragedy. Some could not hold back their tears and embraced one another.

Recall that Liam Payne was born on August 29, 1993. The musician participated twice in the British X Factor. It was on this TV show in 2010 that One Direction's creative journey began, where they finished third. The band disbanded in 2016, and Payne in particular embarked on a solo singing career.

In 2017, his debut solo single Strip That Down reached third place in the UK chart. Also, that year, his son Bear was born to British singer and TV presenter Cheryl Cole.
