Results of the Main Department for the Protection of Military Personnel Rights in 2023
According to inkorr.com: Since the beginning of this year, the Main Department for the Protection of Military Personnel Rights (GDZP) has received and considered more than 3,600 requests from military personnel and their families, reports the Ministry of Defense.
Out of 39 considered requests, inspections were initiated in various military units, territorial command centers, as well as in medical institutions. As a result of this work, the rights of 1,746 individuals who sought assistance were restored. In cases where signs of criminal offenses were detected, materials were transferred to law enforcement agencies, including the State Bureau of Investigations, to which 67 notifications were sent, the Ministry of Defense notes.
Dynamics of appeals to GDZP
Interestingly, in 2024, GDZP processed only 2,340 appeals. For those wishing to contact GDZP, it is recommended to use the email: E-mail: [email protected]. When submitting a request, it is necessary to indicate the surname, name, and patronymic of the individual, contact details for feedback, the essence of the issue, specific requirements, as well as documents confirming the applicant's authority and evidence of existing violations. It is also important to understand that anonymous requests are not considered.
Thus, thanks to the processing of more than 3,600 appeals, GDZP restored the rights of over 1,700 military personnel and forwarded materials regarding possible criminal offenses to the relevant authorities. This activity is aimed at protecting the interests of military personnel and their families and enhancing the level of legal protection in the face of modern challenges.
Importantly, GDZP continues to actively work on protecting the rights of military personnel, providing them with legal support in necessary cases. Each request is a significant step towards improving the situation with the rights of military personnel and their families, which is especially important under the current conditions.
