Incidence of ARVI in Ukraine has decreased: what is happening with the epidemic situation.
The state of ARVI incidence in Ukraine remains stable
According to inkorr.com: Since the beginning of the new epidemic season of ARVI, which started on September 29, there have been 619,416 cases of respiratory infections registered in Ukraine, including flu, seasonal colds, and COVID-19. This is 6.9% more than in the previous season.
Deputy Director General of the State Institution 'Center for Public Health' of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Oleksii Danylenko noted that data from the last week is somewhat optimistic. In the 45th week of 2025, 108,950 people were infected with ARVI, which is 11.7% less than the previous week. This indicates a slowdown in the spread of infections.
The decrease in the number of new cases of illness over the week is a positive signal and indicates that the situation is not out of control.
The situation is characterized as 'pre-epidemic level,' when illness increases according to seasonal fluctuations but has not yet reached critical indicators. Analyzing the data, it is noted that the situation remains stable in all regions of Ukraine.
Absence of centers of increased morbidity
It is important to note that there are no separate centers of increased morbidity in Ukraine that would require special attention or the introduction of local restrictions.
Many people are asking whether quarantine is possible due to the increase in morbidity. Our response: currently, there are no grounds for such radical measures. Even if the indicators are slightly higher than usual, the situation has not yet reached epidemic levels, thus restrictions are not necessary.
Possible restrictions may be introduced locally if the situation deteriorates sharply, – explains Oleksii Danylenko.
The duration of the ARVI epidemic season in Ukraine lasts until May. Medical workers urge citizens to be cautious and adhere to preventive measures, offering a list of recommendations.
Thus, a stable level of ARVI morbidity is observed in Ukraine, and the number of new cases has decreased over the past week. The absence of separate centers of increased morbidity indicates the impossibility of introducing general restrictions or quarantine at the national level. Medical workers call on citizens to adhere to preventive measures to prevent the spread of infections.
