The launch of the Israeli early warning system in Ukraine is in the final stages - ambassador.
Ukraine has received elements for the early warning system from Israel
Ukraine has received the necessary elements for the implementation of the early warning system. The launch of this system is at the final stage. This was reported by Yevhen Korniychuk, the ambassador of Ukraine in Israel, at the Kyiv Jewish Forum, citing RBC-Ukraine.
According to Korniychuk, Ukrainian military already use part of the Israeli system. In particular, this concerns three-dimensional radars of Israeli production that can be purchased in large volumes.
Korniychuk also stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu cooperation in destroying Iranian drones.
'We see that our two wars are very much connected. We have common partners... and common enemies - Iran and its proxies, behind which stands the Russian Federation. Huge warehouses of Russian weapons, fresh, produced last year, have been deployed in Lebanon. I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow North Korean missiles are found there. Because this is part of one axis of evil today,' said Korniychuk.
In June 2022, Korniychuk expressed Ukraine's desire to acquire the Israeli air defense system 'Iron Dome' or similar means to protect the population from missile attacks. However, Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov noted that the 'Iron Dome' is ineffective against Russian ballistic and cruise missiles that are used in attacks on Ukraine.
In January 2023, Korniychuk reported on cooperation with Israel regarding the transfer of smart threat warning technologies from missiles and drones. The transfer process had already been ongoing, and it was expected that the system would be launched in Ukraine soon.
