Salaries of Civil Servants in August: Who Recorded the Highest Payments.
Salaries of Civil Servants in Ukraine in August 2023
According to inkorr.com: In August 2023, the salaries of civil servants in Ukraine are impressive in size. According to the Ministry of Finance, the average salary was 61.6 thousand hryvnias, which is three times higher than the national average of 19.8 thousand hryvnias, according to data from the Pension Fund. Over the year, the salaries of civil servants increased by 8.6%, reaching 55.8 thousand hryvnias in August 2024. However, this growth significantly lagged behind the inflation rate, which was 13.2%.
Highest Payments Among Civil Servants
The highest earnings were received by employees of the Antimonopoly Committee, the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, and the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Public Utilities. Heads of government agencies were not left behind either: the average salary of top management was 131.2 thousand hryvnias, while the highest incomes were observed in positions at the NAPC, the Ministry of National Unity, and the State Audit Office.
Thus, the statistics indicate a noticeable variety in the salaries of civil servants in Ukraine.
Higher salaries in government agencies indicate different working conditions and responsibilities in these positions. This raises questions about the fairness of earnings in other sectors of the economy, where incomes are significantly lower. Despite the fact that salaries of civil servants have increased, their growth is insufficient to compensate for the losses from inflation, which in turn raises concerns about the financial stability of Ukrainians.
