Salary growth in working professions in Ukraine

According to inkorr.com: According to a study conducted by OLX Work and the European Business Association (EBA), working professions in Ukraine are becoming increasingly profitable. 63% of companies complain about a lack of labor in this sector, which contributes to the rapid growth of salaries in construction.

“Over the past four years, the incomes of construction workers have increased at an impressive rate. Especially surprising were the masons: their average salary grew from 15 thousand hryvnias in 2022 to 50 thousand in 2025,”

Plumbers now earn up to 40 thousand hryvnias, while plasterers get up to 60 thousand hryvnias, which is significantly more than in previous years. However, the increase in salaries for laborers has been the slowest — from 12.5 to 22.5 thousand hryvnias.

Changes in salaries by year:

• In 2022, the highest salaries were earned by facade workers, while the lowest by laborers.
• In 2023, the largest salary increases were recorded for masons (+115%) and plumbers (+67%).
• In 2024, rapid salary growth was observed among foremen (+64%) and plasterers (+43%).
• In 2025, salary growth continues, although it has slowed down, while laborers increased their incomes by 22%.

Currently, the most financially viable professions in Ukraine include plasterers, facade workers, masons, and foremen. Experts note that the market remains competitive, and salaries continue to adapt to inflation and demand for specialists in these areas.

According to OLX Work and the European Business Association, working professions in Ukraine are in high demand, which stimulates salary increases in this sector. Today, masons, plasterers, and foremen receive some of the highest incomes among skilled trades. The dynamics of salaries continue to rise, according to current market conditions.
