Salaries in Ukraine have risen to 26 thousand hryvnias: who earns the most.

According to the State Statistics Service, in September the average nominal salary in Ukraine reached 26,623 hryvnias, which is 2.7% higher compared to the previous month.

However, despite the increase in average income, the problem of wage arrears remains serious: as of October 1, wage arrears reached 3.7 billion hryvnias.
As before, specialists in the field of information and telecommunications earn the most — their average salary is 64,330 hryvnias. At the same time, the lowest incomes are among education workers — only 16,901 hryvnias.
Wage Differences by Regions
The level of salaries varies depending on the region. The highest salaries are recorded in the capital: residents of Kyiv earn an average of 40,111 hryvnias. High figures are also observed in Luhansk (32,952 UAH) and Dnipropetrovsk (27,416 UAH) regions. The least is earned in Chernivtsi (18,841 UAH) and Kirovohrad (19,065 UAH) regions.
It is worth noting that, despite rising prices, the minimum wage in 2025 remained at the level of 8,000 hryvnias. According to representatives of the State Statistics Service, data on average salaries are formed based on reports from enterprises, institutions, and organizations where ten or more employees work.

In addition, there is a significant wage gap between different regions, and the low minimum wage raises discussions about social justice and the need for an increase.
