The Ukrainian youth national team suffered its second defeat in the qualification for the U19 Euro-2025. In the second round of the competition, the 'blue-yellows' lost to the Slovenian team (0:1).

Ukraine started the UEFA U19 Championship qualification as semifinalists of the continental championship. In the opening round of the qualification, the team lost to Kazakhstan (0:1). The next opponent for the Ukrainians in a nominally home match was Slovenia.

After the break, the Slovenes opened the scoring: after a pass from Rene Hrvatin, David Pejcic scored.

In the 57th minute, Andriy Husol took a long-range shot, but the Slovenian national team's goalkeeper made a save.

In the match, the Ukraine team had 12 shots on goal, only two of which were on target. Until the end of the game, Ukraine U19 could not equalize the score and lost to Slovenia – 0:1.

Notably, the second goal into their net was conceded by Ukraine, whose goal was guarded by Vyacheslav Surkis, from a direct shot from a corner kick.
