Visit to Kossak

After the conversation with Kossak, Zelensky noted that this colonel is one of the Ukrainian warriors who carry out significant active operations against the enemy. For such military achievements, the president awarded Kossak the title of Hero of Ukraine.

"We discussed his view on the potential of the SBU and our defense in wartime. We must utilize everything possible in the interest of the state and the people, the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine. The country will be strengthened,"

Meeting with Poklad

After the conversation with Poklad, Zelensky wrote on his channel that the protection of Ukrainian statehood and the intelligence activities of the SBU have been significantly enhanced. He also emphasized the need for further development in these areas.

"We discussed very specific tasks and operations so that the Russian occupiers feel the strength of our Security Service of Ukraine even more,"

— emphasized the head of state.

Changes in the SBU

We remind that Vasyl Malyuk resigned from his duties as the head of the SBU on that day. He stated that he would continue working in the structure of the office, focusing on the preparation of unique asymmetric operations. Zelensky expressed his gratitude to Malyuk for his service and set the task to transform this area into one of the most powerful in international practice.

Zelensky also appointed the head of the Special Operations Center 'A', Yevhen Chmara, as the acting head of the SBU.

These meetings and changes in the Security Service of Ukraine testify to the activation of state efforts to ensure national security. The appointment of a new acting head of the SBU could be an important step in the ongoing struggle against Russian aggression and also highlights the reforms already being implemented in this critically important structure.
