President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the nation after the latest prisoner exchange and noted new military assistance from partners.
In his statement, Zelensky expressed gratitude to the team managing the exchanges and to Ukrainian soldiers for their support in freeing the captives.
Nothing happens just like that. Strong positions are always needed for Ukraine. Opportunities for our state must always be increased. During wartime, results are only achieved. I thank everyone who ensures this.
The statement also reports that 95 Ukrainians were freed from Russian captivity, including 26 officers and members of various units.
Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine continues to work on freeing other captured military and civilian individuals.
The President also thanked the Armed Forces and other security services for their work, as well as the partners who support Ukraine in this matter.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine received a new support package from Norway amounting to $260 million, and also mentioned the winter aid package from the Nordic-Baltic Eight.
Furthermore, the President emphasized the importance of global pressure on Russia due to its tanker fleet that finances the war and creates a security threat.
Zelensky also mentioned a new bilateral security agreement that Ukraine signed with Greece.
In conclusion, Zelensky thanked all those who support Ukraine and proclaimed "Glory to our people! Glory to Ukraine!"
