Zelensky called for strengthening defense against drones and sanctions against Russia
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky demonstrated the work of hostile drones and called for more air defense systems and stronger sanctions against Russia.
According to Zelensky, over the past night Russia launched more than 130 strike drones on the territory of Ukraine. During this time, 60 of them were destroyed, and 70 localities were affected.
'Every day we witness the desperate actions of our sky defenders. This time, Russian terror used strike drones - more than 130. We managed to destroy about 60 of them, while 70 localities suffered damage,' said the president.
Zelensky also expressed gratitude to all sky defenders, including anti-aircraft missile forces, aviation, radio engineering troops (RAB) and mobile fire groups, for their work.
'It is very important that we are able to protect our citizens and our infrastructure from most threats. But unfortunately, not from all. Ukraine needs support. More Patriots and other air defense systems, missiles for them, and stronger sanctions against Russia - all this will help protect more of our citizens. And the world has the resources to help us with this,' Zelensky added.
We remind you that Zelensky will meet with European leaders in Brussels.
