The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky made a statement after the 1284th day of Russian aggression, in which he highlighted key events and diplomatic efforts of the state.
Investigation and condolences
According to Zelensky, law enforcement agencies under the leadership of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Attorney General are actively investigating the circumstances of Andriy Parubiy's death. The Security Service of Ukraine is involved in the investigation, and the President instructed to promptly present verified information and expressed condolences to the family of the deceased.
Massive attack by Russia
Russia carried out a massive strike on the territory of Ukraine, using over 500 drones and 45 missiles. As a result of the shelling in Zaporizhzhia, 29 people were injured and one was killed. Ukrainian air defense forces managed to shoot down some of the missiles and drones, calling Russia's actions aggressive.
Diplomatic efforts
Zelensky held a conversation with Indian Prime Minister Modi, where they discussed the situation regarding Russian aggression. The President expressed hope that this position would be reflected in meetings in China and criticized Putin for attempting to involve leaders in complicity.
Zelensky announced the readiness of countries in Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar to become a platform for peace agreements. Ukraine is actively preparing for negotiations and plans a strong response to Russia's actions.
