Zelensky commented on the Russian strike in Kyiv and spoke about important diplomatic appointments.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that the new missile strike by Russia in Kyiv is a sign of 'Russian madness' and should have consequences for the terrorist. In particular, people were killed and buildings were damaged, including St. Nicholas Church and a building housing diplomatic missions.
'It is obvious that such Russian madness should not be perceived by the world as something normal. Everyday terror deserves increasingly growing pressure on the terrorist,' emphasized the president.
This incident also led to damage to the diplomatic missions of several countries located in one building. Zelensky thanked his partners for their support and readiness to provide additional air defense systems, including the German air defense system.
Furthermore, the president reported on the activation of Russian troops in the Kherson direction and shelling of Kherson. At the same time, Ukrainian units are successfully repelling attacks from the enemy.
Zelensky also noted that Russia would try to pass off North Korean soldiers it destroyed in Kursk as representatives of national communities from the territory of the Russian Federation.
At the end of the statement, Zelensky announced the appointment of new ambassadors of Ukraine, including Nariman Jelal in Turkey, Alona Hetmantchuk as Ukraine's representative to NATO, and Andrii Melnyk as Ukraine's representative to the UN.
