Zelensky convened the Staff: how Ukraine is preparing for winter attacks on energy.
According to inkorr.com: The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, announced another meeting of the Staff, during which the preparation for the heating season and strengthening the air defense system were discussed. He emphasized that timely preparation of the energy sector is extremely important, and monitoring the implementation of the set tasks remains a priority.
“I am grateful to everyone involved who fully fulfills the assigned tasks”, - noted Volodymyr Zelensky.
Strengthening air defense and air defense needs
During the meeting, the need to strengthen air defense was also discussed. The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Rustem Umerov, was instructed to organize the procurement of additional air defense systems and increase funding for drone manufacturers. The main focus will be on effectively destroying 'shaheds', and the supply of systems is planned to be monitored weekly. Special attention is paid to the protection of energy networks in frontline and border areas, as well as creating a reserve supply for relevant facilities.
Thus, during the meeting, not only the issues of preparation for the heating season were discussed but also the importance of strengthening air defense for ensuring the country's security. The President again emphasized the need for timely preparation of the energy sector and monitoring the implementation of decisions in this area, particularly strengthening air defense systems and their effective use.
This meeting of the Staff indicates the urgent need to ensure energy and military security amid modern challenges. The measures taken will facilitate not only the preparation for the heating season but also the strengthening of Ukraine's defense capabilities in a difficult situation. It remains to be seen how the state will proceed in this important area.
