Zelensky talked about the 'Plan B' for Ukraine: what will happen if Biden refuses to support.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that if US President Joe Biden refuses to support the new Ukrainian peace settlement plan, Ukraine will continue to operate according to 'Plan B'. He said this in an interview with The New Yorker.
Zelensky explained that 'Plan A' was proposed before the start of the full-scale war and involved preventive sanctions and strengthening Ukraine with weapons. He emphasized the importance of the new 'Plan A' he wants to present to Biden.
The Ukrainian president noted that he cannot force Biden to support his plan, but if he refuses, Ukraine will live according to 'Plan B'. He warned that the refusal of support will lead to 'a very lengthy war that will take many lives'.
Despite a possible refusal, Zelensky expressed gratitude to Biden for his support of Ukraine at the beginning of the war, which pushed other partners to do the same.
