Zelensky: Ukraine has produced over 100 missile weapons units this year.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a series of important defense meetings and summarized the results of Russian attacks this week.
He announced this in his daily address.
According to the head of state, the first meeting discussed the issue of weapons production. Ukraine has achieved significant results in the production of artillery and various drones. Over a hundred missile weapon units have been produced this year.
More than 800 companies are currently involved in the production of weapons for the Defense Forces of Ukraine. For the first time in 30 years of independence, the country has systemic models for foreign investments in the defense industry, particularly from Denmark and France.
The second meeting, involving military leadership, was dedicated to the situation at the front, with special attention given to the Kurakhiv direction.
The President also noted the intensity of Russian shelling this week. The enemy attacked Kharkiv, Donetsk region, Sumy region, Odesa, and Zaporizhzhia. Zelensky emphasized the need to strengthen Ukraine's air defense and urged partners to provide additional air defense systems.
Separately, the head of state highlighted the work of the State Emergency Service rescuers who operate in regions with insufficient air protection and named the recognized employees from Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Kyiv by name.
