Zelensky's rejection of the meeting with Putin
According to inkorr.com: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded to the invitation of Russian leader Vladimir Putin to visit Moscow, declining due to the situation at the frontline.
'He can come to Kyiv. I cannot go to Moscow when my country is under missile fire every day. I cannot go to the capital of this terrorist. Putin understands this,'- Zelensky noted.
Attempt to postpone the meeting
Zelensky also believes that Putin's proposal is an attempt to delay the meeting, which he considers unacceptable during wartime.
'If a person does not want to meet during a war, they can certainly suggest something that will be unacceptable to me or to others,'- emphasized the President of Ukraine.
Thus, the Ukrainian leader clearly stated that a meeting with Putin during the war is unacceptable. This emphasizes Ukraine's position and its principled refusal of any negotiations that may threaten national security.
