Zelensky announced a billion dollars a month for weapons: details of the PURL program.
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that the country aims to receive at least one billion dollars a month from allies for the purchase of American weapons, which are key in the confrontation with Russia. This will allow maintaining the combat capabilities of the army and strengthening positions on the front.
According to inkorr.com: During a joint press conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, Zelensky noted that Norway's participation in the PURL program opens up opportunities for stable supplies of weapons from the USA. 'Norway has joined the PURL program, which allows the purchase of weapons in the USA and fills this program with at least a billion dollars a month,' he emphasized.
Zelensky also highlighted the importance of developing Ukrainian drone production and attracting investments in joint defense projects. He added that investments can help compel Russia to end the conflict, not only physically but politically.
Moreover, Zelensky announced 'surprises' for the occupiers and spoke about possible strikes deep into Russia.
After joining NATO, this will ensure stable supplies of military equipment to Ukraine and support the country's defense capabilities in a challenging geopolitical context.
