Today, the draw for the play-off stage of the Nations League will take place in Nyon, Switzerland, where Ukraine will learn about its opponent. The national team will compete for the right to participate in Division A. The first match of the play-offs will be held at home. Matches are scheduled for March 20 and 23, 2025. The draw will start at 13:00 Kyiv Time.

To qualify for the tournament play-offs, the Ukrainian national football team won their last match in 2024 as part of the Nations League. The match in Albania ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of the Ukrainians, the same score was recorded in the match between the Czech Republic and Georgia. Ukraine took second place in its group and will await an opponent in the Nations League play-offs.

Goals in the match

In the first half, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Roman Yaremchuk scored goals for Ukraine. The Albanian national team managed to score a penalty in the 75th minute, executed by Bajrami. However, despite this, the Ukrainian team managed to maintain its lead and win.

The goals scored by Zinchenko and Yaremchuk in the match against Albania were dedicated to the thousandth day of the war.

In the group stage of the Nations League 2024/25, there is still one last, sixth round to play. The Ukrainian national team will close the main part of the tournament with a match against Albania on Tuesday, November 19.

Earlier, Ukraine played a draw with the Georgia team in the match of the 5th round of the group stage of the Nations League. The match at the 'Batumi Arena' stadium in Batumi ended with a score of 1:1.
