Over 920 Ukrainian women are mastering male-dominated professions: the most popular ones named.
According to the Information from the State Employment Service of Ukraine, the number of women studying traditionally 'male' professions is constantly growing.
According to inkorr.com: Currently, more than 920 Ukrainian women are receiving education in specialties that were previously predominantly available to men.
New opportunities for women in professions
Over 520 enterprises have joined the pilot project to open new career growth prospects for women. This initiative allows women to acquire popular working professions, while companies receive qualified personnel.
Demand for professional women is increasing
Requests for women who are training in new professions are constantly increasing. More than 520 training requests have already been received from employers ready to hire 960 program graduates. Over 460 women have already been successfully employed, while 380 continue their education to start a career in a new field.
- woodworking machine operator - 305 applications,
- boiler operator - 175,
- female tractor driver - 164.
There is also an increasing demand for positions as forklift drivers, trolleybus drivers, and repair women.
Women’s retraining
The process of retraining women for new professions is driven by the mobilization of specialists to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More than 1000 women have undergone training as truck drivers, obtaining the necessary driving licenses and job placement opportunities.
Moreover, ten Ukrainian women successfully completed the 'Iron Women' training program and obtained qualifications as excavator operators and forklift drivers.
The gradual increase in the number of women studying professions that are traditionally considered 'male' indicates a positive trend in the labor market in Ukraine. Retraining programs and support for women in new fields provide better opportunities for career growth and broaden horizons in modern society.
