The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne upheld Anatoliy Tymoshchuk's appeal against the decision of the UAF disciplinary committee.

The former 'Zenit' footballer was sanctioned due to his work in the Russian Federation.

The UAF stripped him of all titles, coaching license, and removed him from the national teams register.

Tymoshchuk appealed to the CAS, and now the court has annulled the UAF's decision.

The CAS believes that Tymoshchuk did not commit any actions that could constitute grounds for sanctions.

The UAF recognized the CAS decision as formal and unclear.

Tymoshchuk has been working in the 'Zenit' staff since 2017 and has remained in the Russian Federation.

He has not commented on the aggression of the Russian Federation but referred to the war as a 'special military operation.'

Tymoshchuk also participated in an auction where his autograph on a jersey was sold, and the proceeds will be directed to the Kursk region.

His autograph can be seen on the 'Zenit' game jersey.
