Ukrainian Forces Strike Key Russian Targets: Refinery, Fuel Depots, and Command Centers Hit.
Critical Refining Infrastructure Damaged in Coordinated Attacks
According to Espreso.tv: Ukraine's General Staff has confirmed that its forces successfully struck vital oil refining and transportation infrastructure inside Russia, along with enemy command observation posts and supply depots. Among the targets was the 'Saratovsky' refinery, part of the Rosneft oil company, which has an annual design capacity of roughly 7 million tons of crude oil—making it a significant asset for Russia's refining sector.
Additional Strikes and Their Impact
Further reports indicate damage to the 'Lazarevo' linear production and dispatch station in Russia's Kirov region, as well as a fuel and lubricants warehouse in Matveyev Kurgan, Rostov region. These operations took place on May 30, 2026, when three fuel storage tanks were destroyed near the maritime oil terminal in Feodosia, Crimea, along with a gas storage facility near Yenakiieve in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region.
According to the General Staff, the same day also saw the destruction of a Russian 'Iskander' missile system and two Tu-142 aircraft. These actions highlight an escalation in military operations and the strategic targeting of key enemy assets, potentially hampering Russia's ability to conduct further campaigns.
Strikes on core oil refining infrastructure demonstrate the Ukrainian military's focused efforts to deplete resources essential for Russia's combat operations. This could create significant supply challenges for enemy forces, potentially shifting the dynamics of the ongoing conflict. Such attacks also reflect the continuous evolution of Ukrainian tactics and strategies amid active warfare.
