Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 172 Russian attacks in a day: the hottest front lines.

Worrying situation at the front

In the past day, there were 172 combat clashes at the front. The hottest points in eastern Ukraine are Pokrovsk, Lyman, and Novopavlivka directions. Here, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled attacks by Russian forces near more than 30 settlements. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on August 30, as informed by FREEДОМ.

Main directions of attacks

In the Severo-Slobozhansky and Kurshky directions, Ukrainian units stopped three enemy attacks.

At the same time, in the Yuzhno-Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attempted to storm the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces eight times in the areas of Hlubokyi, Prylypky, Volchanska, Fiholovka, and Kutyavka.

In the Kupyansk direction, there were five combat clashes in the areas of Zahryzovo and Kupyansk.

Attacks in the Lyman and other directions

The enemy attacked 29 times in the Lyman direction, trying to break through the Ukrainian defense in the areas of the settlements of Karpivka, Kolodezi, Zarechne, Yampol, as well as near Olhivka, Druzhelyubivka, Shandryholovo, Dronivka, Serebryanka, and Hryhorivka.

In the Seversky direction, AFU units stopped four enemy attacks in the areas of Hryhorivka and Pereizne.

Additionally, in the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked twice near Stupochky and Predtechyne.

In the Toretsky direction, the enemy conducted 13 attacks in the areas of Shcherbynivka, Toretsk, Dilyievka, as well as near Klevan-Bik, Katerynivka, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka.

Situation in the Pokrovsky and Novopavlivka directions

Ukrainian defenders stopped 50 assault actions by the aggressor in the Pokrovsky direction in the areas of the settlements of Vladimirovka, Mayak, Zapovedne, Sukhetske, and others.

In the Novopavlivka direction, the military-political leadership of Russia conducted 31 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Voskresenka, Maliivka, Zaporizhske, Filia, Aleksandrovgrad, and Novoiivanka.

The enemy also attempted to attack Ukrainian positions four times in the Orekhovsky and Dnipro directions.

In the Volyn, Huliaipole, and Polissia directions, the day passed without combat clashes.

Enemy losses

According to reports, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed 850 Russian soldiers, as well as 19 armored vehicles, six tanks, and more than 40 artillery systems in the past day.

The situation at the front remains tense, with constant attempts by the enemy to break through the defense line. Ukrainian forces continue to respond steadfastly to threats, repelling attacks in several key directions. Observations of the developments indicate that the struggle for control over the territory continues, and each day brings new challenges for both sides of the conflict.
