MANCHESTER UNITED are closing in on a deal to sign Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

Personal terms have almost been agreed with the Belgian keeper while the clubs continue to discuss a fee, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

Senne Lammens currently plays for Royal Antwerp in his native Belgium.

It’s understood Antwerp will demand around £17million.

United have been linked with Lammens since December.

The 23-year-old stopper has made almost 65 appearances for Antwerp.

He is also a Belgian youth international, and was called up to the senior team for two matches in March, remaining an unused substitute in both.

United have been extensively linked with new goalkeepers throughout this window.

Andre Onana missed the Red Devils’ season opener against Arsenal as he returns from a spell on the sidelines through injury.

But boss Ruben Amorim is far from sold on the Cameroonian.

Onana, 29, is determined to stay and fight for his place between the sticks at Old Trafford despite Amorim’s efforts to replace him earlier in the window.
