Cupra introduces the most powerful front-wheel drive Leon: only 499 cars.

Cupra has unveiled the new Leon VZ TCR model, created in honor of the racing car of the same name. This is the most powerful front-wheel drive Leon in the brand's history.

The car is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine capable of delivering 321 hp and a torque of 420 Nm, working in conjunction with a seven-speed automated DSG transmission. It accelerates to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds, and the top speed is unrestricted — exact figures have not yet been disclosed.

For the track, the hatchback is equipped with adaptive chassis, electronic front differential locking, reinforced front struts, and an Akebono braking system with six-piston calipers. The model's appearance is highlighted by a massive splitter, extended side skirts, a large rear wing, and a signature exhaust with four copper-colored pipes. The alloy wheels are fitted with sporty tires.

Additionally, carbon mirror caps, decorative elements on the body, and VZ TCR badges on the trunk lid are included.

Interior photos have not yet been revealed, but it is known that the front seats are equipped with four-point seat belts. The rear seats can be removed, reducing weight during track laps. The doors feature laser engraving with the unique vehicle number.

The production of the Leon VZ TCR model will be limited to only 499 cars, with sales starting at the end of next year.

For those seeking similar performance without extreme characteristics, Cupra offers the standard Leon VZ version. This model is also powered by the same engine but lacks some track-specific components. The production will be 1,500 units, with a debut planned for the first quarter of 2026.
