Honda Pilot 2026: the first facelift and fully digital dashboard.
Honda has introduced the updated 2026 Pilot model year — this is the first significant facelift of the generation that appeared three years ago. The crossover has undergone substantial changes in exterior design, has become quieter while driving, and has been equipped with a more modern digital control panel.
Design and Comfort Changes
The largest changes are noticeable at the front. The air intakes have been redesigned, the grille has become more vertical, and the protective cladding has been increased, giving the model the 'off-road' look that was lacking in its predecessor. New 20-inch wheels and three new body colors have also appeared: Solar Silver Metallic, Smoke Blue Pearl, and the TrailSport-exclusive - Ash Green Metallic. Changes at the rear were minor, but roof rails now come standard.
Inside, the Pilot has received a completely digital cabin with a 10.2-inch instrument panel and a 12.3-inch central display instead of the old 7-9 inch systems. The interface has become more modern, with support for Google built-in, 5G Wi-Fi, and wireless smartphone integration. All six trim levels - Sport, EX-L, Touring, TrailSport, Elite, and Black Edition - now have a digital dashboard and power liftgate as standard equipment.

The TrailSport now features heated rear outboard seats and an optional brown interior with orange stitching. The Touring trim received upgraded materials and a surround-view camera, while the highest Elite version is enriched with ultra-suede elements with diamond stitching.
Safety Technologies and Engine
Honda has also significantly improved sound insulation. Laminated glass for the doors and additional layers of soundproofing in the doors and under the hood have reduced cabin noise by 2-3 dB. The Honda Sensing safety system package now includes a post-collision braking function.
In terms of the engine, there have been no changes: the Pilot uses a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 engine with 285 hp in combination with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The i-VTM4 all-wheel drive remains an option for base trims and standard for higher trims. All versions have received a retuned electric power steering for improved stability and a more natural feedback. The TrailSport traditionally retains the raised suspension and all-terrain tires.
The model continues to be developed in the USA and manufactured at the plant in Alabama. It will reach dealers in the USA in December, with prices announced closer to the start of sales.
It is worth noting that it was previously reported that Kia had showcased the updated Telluride 2027.
