Zelensky on Air Defense: Ukraine Will Receive New Patriot Systems from the USA.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced the continuation of cooperation with international partners within the PURL program, which allows the purchase of American weapons, including air defense systems and missiles for them. This information was disclosed by the Chief of Staff.

Effectiveness of the Patriot System

Zelensky noted that a recent nighttime attack confirmed the effectiveness of the Patriot system provided by American partners, as it successfully intercepted Russian ballistic missiles. Ukraine is also preparing to receive new powerful air defense systems and strengthen aviation by signing a relevant agreement with France. An additional agreement is planned to be signed with Greece in the energy sector.

Cooperation with Partners

Earlier, Zelensky confirmed active cooperation with the United States to obtain additional Patriot systems. This is an important step towards strengthening Ukraine's defense capability in the face of aggression from Russia.

On the night of November 14, Russian occupiers attacked Kyiv with various types of missiles and strike drones. 36 people were injured, six of them in serious condition, five are in the hospital. Six residents of the capital were killed.

Assistance to Victims

In connection with this, headquarters have been organized in Kyiv to provide assistance to the victims of the attack, which operate in the Desnyan, Dnipro, Obolon, Podil, and Svyatoshyn districts. The authorities are providing the necessary support to the victims in this difficult situation.

Zelensky continues to strengthen partnership with the USA and other countries to bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities in response to the escalation of the situation in the east. He emphasizes the importance of obtaining modern air defense systems and missile complexes to protect the country from external threats.
