Launch of Winter Support: One Million Applications for 1000 Hryvnias Already Submitted.
In Ukraine, the “Winter Support” program has started, during which over one million applications for a one-Time payment of 1000 UAH were submitted in the first days. This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelensky,
citedby the publication Ekspres.
Who Can Receive the Payment
This assistance is available to all Ukrainians who are on the territory of the country at the time of application. The payment is one-time and has no additional conditions, and it is also possible to apply for children. However, those who are abroad or stateless persons cannot submit an application.
The payment is processed through the Diya application, and the funds will be credited to the National Cashback card. The user needs to go through the standard data verification procedure and choose an account for the payment.
How to Submit an Application
- log in to the Diya application;
- go to the Services section - Winter eSupport;
- fill out the application;
- select the recipient - yourself or a child;
- provide a bank account;
- confirm your presence in Ukraine and send.
If you do not have a cashback card, it needs to be issued at the bank - then the account will be automatically verified in Diya. You can also submit an application at a Ukrposhta branch.
When Will the 1000 Hryvnias Be Transferred
The money should arrive within 10 days after submitting the application. Zelensky also emphasized that
the requestmust be submitted by December 24. He noted that if necessary, the government is ready to provide additional funding; last year, over 14 million Ukrainians participated in the program.
The president emphasized that
the funds will be available, and they will be credited to the National Cashback card, and also thanked the Diya team for the stable operation of the system during peak loads. He added that the payment will not affect subsidies and will serve as additional support for families.
The received funds can be used until June 30, 2026.
The “Winter Support” program is designed to help many Ukrainians during difficult times, as it provides additional funds for families suffering from economic hardships. After the successful experience of last year, when over 14 million citizens took advantage of the payment, the government hopes that the new program will benefit an even larger number of people. The application process through the Diya application simplifies the process, making it more accessible for the population.
