According to The Sun: In October, millions of pensioners can take advantage of free services and receive discounts totaling up to £7448.
Among the benefits are free NHS prescriptions, eye checks, and additional help with internet and water bills.

Pensioners who are 60 years old and reside in England, Scotland or Wales are entitled to free NHS prescriptions.
Those who regularly receive NHS prescriptions and pay a fixed cost through an annual subscription certificate can save up to £114.50.
Free Eye Tests
People aged 60 and over can have free eye tests every two years.
These checks usually cost between £20 and £25, so you can save money by going to your local store and indicating that you are entitled to a free procedure.
Free Passport
British citizens born on or before September 2, 1929, can get a free passport, saving them £94.50 if it is standard.
However, for expedited processing, a fee will still need to be paid.
