Ukrainian Forces Breach Southern Defenses Amid 120 Daily Clashes.
Frontline Situation as of March 10
According to UATV: Ukrainian forces engaged in 120 combat clashes on March 10, continuing counterattacks and offensive operations across multiple fronts. These operations included a significant push in the southern Dnipropetrovsk region, where Ukrainian assault units successfully breached Russian defensive lines, with the operation in this area still ongoing. According to Ukrainian military reports, the invading forces are suffering substantial losses in both personnel and equipment.
The most significant number of attempts to break through Ukrainian positions occurred on the Huliaipole, Pokrovsk, and Konstantynivka fronts, all of which were successfully repelled. On the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian forces eliminated 10 Russian soldiers. The intensity of these engagements highlights the continued pressure along the extensive frontline.
Enemy Casualties and Commentary
Over the past day, Ukrainian forces destroyed the following Russian assets:
- 13 tanks,
- 7 armored combat vehicles,
- 73 artillery systems,
- 4 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS),
- 2 air defense systems,
- 950 personnel.
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the total combat losses of the Russian army have reached nearly 1,275,000 soldiers. This staggering figure underscores the protracted and costly nature of the war for Moscow.
Commenting on the situation, Pavlo Lakiychuk stated that 'Russian soldiers are cannon fodder.'
This remark underscores the dire conditions faced by Russian troops and the immense scale of losses their military continues to endure. The war has entered its third year, with no immediate signs of a decisive military breakthrough for either side.
Consequently, the frontline situation remains tense, marked by active combat and significant casualties on both sides. Ukrainian troops persist in their active operations, striving to hold their positions and inflict maximum damage on the adversary.
The current developments indicate the conflict's continuation with intense fighting between Ukrainian and Russian forces. The high enemy casualties documented by the Ukrainian military could influence the future strategic calculations of both armies. Monitoring the situation remains critical, as events can shift rapidly based on battlefield outcomes and overall military activity in the region.
