According to inkorr.com: Participants of the competition performed in four disciplines: archery, boccia, rowing on simulators, and wheelchair basketball. The event lasted from September 19 to 21.

Organizers

The co-organizers of this event were the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the public organization 'Free Warriors', the Odesa Regional Federation of Adaptive Sports and Veterans Support, and the charitable foundation 'Limitless Opportunities'.

“I had the honor to be alongside our defenders during the veteran competitions. Veterans from all over Ukraine came to Odesa to prove that sports heal, unite, and open up new horizons,” said Yuri Degas, founder of the 'Limitless Opportunities' Foundation and vice president of the Odesa Regional Federation of Adaptive Sports and Veterans Support, on his Telegram channel.

He also emphasized that 'the competitions were made possible thanks to the joint cooperation of authorities, businesses, and the public'.

Among those present at the opening of the event were the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Dmytro Lubinets, and the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kiper.

Participation of Veterans

140 veterans from various regions of Ukraine participated in the adaptive sports competition 'On the Wave'. Sports truly unite, opening up new opportunities and promoting an active lifestyle, especially among veterans.

This event not only showcased the athletic achievements of the participants but also became an important step in supporting veterans who seek to return to an active life. Events of this format help veterans feel part of the community and instill hope for new opportunities for development.
