Frontline Situation

According to UATV: Ukrainian military forces are maintaining their defensive positions despite intense enemy assaults. Over the past day, 144 combat engagements were recorded across the front, with significant activity concentrated on the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole axes.

Combat Action Data

On March 4, 2023, Russian forces conducted 5 airstrikes and 152 artillery bombardments on the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes. In the course of fighting, the enemy made two attempts to breach Ukrainian lines on the South-Slobozhanskyi axis. Five attacks were recorded on the Kupiansk axis, while ten occurred on the Lyman axis. Ten attempts to advance were also made on the Sloviansk axis. The Konstantynivka axis endured 17 assaults, and the Pokrovsk axis saw 25 storming operations.

  • Oleksandrivka axis: 11 attacks
  • Huliaipole axis: 25 attacks
  • Orikhiv axis: 2 combat engagements

Meanwhile, the Kramatorsk and Prydniprovskyi axes have seen no offensive actions. The situation remains tense, but Ukrainian troops continue to execute their missions, holding defensive lines on key fronts. This sustained pressure highlights the ongoing, high-intensity nature of the war in eastern and southern Ukraine.

Recent frontline events indicate a persistently high level of combat activity by Russian forces, pointing to a continued conflict with no stabilization in the region. Despite the intensity of the attacks, Ukrainian forces demonstrate a resilient defensive capability, which is critical for maintaining control over strategically important territories. This also underscores the ongoing necessity of international support for Ukraine as the confrontation persists.
