Ukraine's Border Situation

According to Novyny.live: On June 30, significant queues have formed at Ukraine's borders with Poland, Hungary, and Romania. Drivers are being cautioned about potential electrical system failures that could make crossing the border more difficult.

Queues at Checkpoints

The worst congestion is heading toward Poland, where lines have been reported at nine border crossings. Here is a brief overview of the conditions:

  • At the 'Yahodyn' checkpoint, neither buses nor pedestrians are being allowed through.
  • At 'Ustyluh,' 10 cars and 2 buses are waiting, but pedestrian crossing is not permitted.
  • At 'Uhryniv,' there are 30 cars in line, no buses, and pedestrian passage is banned.
  • At the 'Rava-Ruska' checkpoint, no queues are recorded, and crossing is not taking place.
  • At 'Hrushiv' and 'Krakovets,' there are no cars, buses, or pedestrians, and pedestrian crossing is not happening.
  • At 'Shehyni,' 30 cars and 1 bus are waiting, and pedestrian crossing is allowed in both directions.

At other checkpoints, the situation is as follows: 'Smilnytsia,' 'Nyzhankovychi,' 'Malyi Bereznyi,' 'Uzhhorod,' 'Diakovtsi,' 'Mamalyha,' 'Kelmentsi,' 'Rososhany,' 'Diakivtsi,' and 'Porubne' — virtually no queues. At 'Tysa,' there are 10 cars and 1 bus, with no pedestrian crossing.

At the 'Dzvinkove' and 'Kosyno' checkpoints, 10 cars are waiting each, with no pedestrians, operating from 08:00 to 19:00 and 08:00 to 20:00, respectively. At 'Luzhanka,' 20 cars are recorded, and at 'Vylok,' 10 cars are waiting.

As of June 30, drivers should be prepared for long waits at the border and possible delays due to technical issues.

Long lines at Ukraine's border may indicate a rise in passenger traffic, which could be linked to seasonal travel, holidays, or other socio-economic factors.

The border situation demands attention, as delays can affect the plans of travelers and freight carriers. It is crucial for drivers to be ready for potential difficulties, especially from electrical system failures that could complicate border crossing.
