Frontline Combat Activity

According to UATV: On February 28, Ukrainian defense forces engaged in 52 combat clashes. Approximately half of these occurred near the Huliaipole direction. Overnight, Ukrainian strikes successfully targeted critical Russian military infrastructure, including ammunition and fuel depots in the areas of Novoamvrosiivske and Amvrosiivka. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, logistical facilities were also hit in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region. These strikes are part of a sustained effort to degrade Russia's war-fighting capabilities.

Territory Regained and Enemy Losses

In a separate development on the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian forces liberated the settlement of Zagryzovo, as confirmed by local administration representative Dmytro Snehyrev. Operational reports indicate that over the past day, 770 Russian soldiers were eliminated. Since the full-scale invasion began, Russia's total combat losses have now surpassed 1,265,000 personnel.

Ukrainian operations resulted in significant losses of enemy equipment alongside personnel. Specifically, the following were destroyed:

  • One Russian tank
  • Five armored combat vehicles
  • 32 artillery systems
  • Two multiple rocket launch systems

The frontline situation remains tense, with Ukrainian defense forces continuing measures to ensure the country's security and territorial defense. These events underscore the intense and ongoing nature of the conflict, where Ukrainian troops are actively defending their positions and targeting strategic enemy assets. Successful operations like the liberation of Zagryzovo highlight continued Ukrainian efforts to regain control of occupied territories, while mounting Russian losses point to a conflict that continues to exact a heavy toll.
