Ukrainian Forces Step Up Counterattacks: 226 Engagements in 24 Hours and a Strike on Russian Logistics.
Frontline Situation in Ukraine
According to UATV: As of July 10, Ukraine has recorded 226 combat clashes. Russian troops have suffered heavy losses, while Ukrainian defenders are intensifying their counteroffensive operations. Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported 13,000 Russian targets hit. Over the past day, July 9, Ukraine's Defense Forces eliminated 1,460 Russian occupiers.
The pace of Russian advances in Ukraine has more than halved since the beginning of the year. In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled attacks near Borova and Dibrova. In the Zaporizhzhia region, Ukrainian defenders continue to destroy Russian assault groups as part of a new phase in the campaign to isolate Crimea.
Serhiy Bratchuk, a representative of the Defense Forces, noted that 'the defense forces have managed to reinvigorate their counterattack operations'.
He also emphasized that 'we understand the scale of what is being destroyed by the Defense Forces'. Ukraine's Ministry of Defense warned the occupiers that 'there will be no gasoline in Crimea', signaling ongoing efforts to block the enemy's logistical routes.
Escalation of Combat Operations
The situation on the front indicates an escalation of hostilities from both sides, with Ukrainian forces continuing to execute a strategy of counterattacks and destruction of Russian military logistics. This marks a critical phase in the broader campaign aimed at reducing the enemy's combat potential and securing territories under Ukrainian control. Sustaining these actions could significantly influence the conflict's trajectory in the near term.
