According to The Sun: Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi spoke about the situation following official allegations of sexual assault in France.

Last month, it became known that French prosecutors prepared a final indictment concerning the 26-year-old Hakimi and the court proceedings are on the agenda.

This case is related to an incident that allegedly occurred on February 25, 2023.

A 24-year-old woman reported to the police that she met Hakimi on Instagram in January of the same year, according to information from Le Parisien.

She claims that Hakimi invited her to his home in Boulogne-Billancourt via Uber, where, according to her, he first kissed her on the lips and breasts through her clothes, despite her objections.

It was also noted that he continued to assault her without her consent.

The woman visited the police station the same day to provide testimony about the rape.

At first, she did not want to file an official complaint, but later the messages she conveyed to the investigators showed her suffering after the incident.

Achraf Hakimi has categorically denied all allegations.

The PSG and Morocco star commented on the situation in an interview with Canal+ France.

“For me, this is the hardest thing that has ever happened in my life. And honestly, this is the hardest blow I have ever received.”

“I think it was quite hard for me, and it remains so, as when they continue to speak lies upon lies, it is painful.”

“It hurts for my family, for my children who are young and do not yet understand what the internet or reading is.”

“I know that at some point in their lives, they will read about what their father has been accused of, and moreover, it is a lie, it is not very pleasant, and I honestly would not want them to come across this.”

If convicted, Hakimi could face up to 15 years in prison, as this is the maximum sentence for rape in France.

It is known that Hakimi learned about the accusations from his lawyer.

Despite this, he is confident that his team is 'calm' regarding the case.

“I know what I am being accused of,” he said. “It is a lie. I know who I am. I know that I did nothing. And I would never have done such a thing.”

“I asked to speak with them, to explain my position. Always when they were involved in something... Besides, they have my DNA.”

“Thanks to the police work, we managed to find quite a lot of strong evidence.”

“I am really calm. I know my lawyer is on top of it. Justice is doing its job, and I hope the truth will soon come to light.”

Hakimi remains free on bail while the investigation is ongoing.

Despite the allegations, his football career continues, including winning the Champions League with PSG last season.
