Egg prices in Ukraine are rising earlier than usual: what is happening in the market.
According to the latest research from Novyny.LIVE, egg prices in Ukrainian supermarkets have started to rise rapidly due to increasing grain prices. On average, a carton of C1 category eggs now costs 72.53 UAH, but cheaper options can be found starting from 53 UAH. Currently, prices are already higher than a few weeks ago.
According to the CEO of the Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, Pavlo Koval, further increases in egg prices are expected due to the difficult situation in the grain market. This is related to a decrease in the harvest of grain crops, which affects the cost of feed and milling wheat.
In addition, rising prices also affect dairy products due to insufficient raw materials and other circumstances. Many supermarkets use marketing tricks to increase their profits at the expense of consumers.
