How to cook sprats in tea infusion: this recipe will become a favorite.
Canned sprats can be easily cooked at home
For this, you need to take sprats, clean the fish, stew them in oil with spices, and then cool them.
Ingredients:
- sprats - 700 g;
- tea infusion - 2 tbsp;
- water - 150 ml;
- sugar - 1 tsp;
- salt - to taste;
- bay leaf - 4 pcs.;
- clove - 4 pcs.;
- black peppercorns - 0.5 tsp;
- oil - 150 ml.
How to cook:
You can use Baltic herring or capelin.
The cookware for cooking should have a thick bottom.
Brew the tea infusion with 150 ml of boiling water and let it steep for 10 minutes. Strain through a sieve. Add sugar and salt. Mix.
Remove the heads and guts from the sprats, wash them.
In a saucepan, crumble two bay leaves, add half of the peppercorns and cloves. Lay the sprats.
Sprinkle the remaining bay leaf, pepper, and cloves on top. Pour in the tea infusion and oil. Put on medium heat and bring to a boil. Reduce to a minimum and cook for 1 hour. Do not stir. Remove from heat and let cool under a closed lid for three hours.
