How drones were shot down over Odesa at night — military showed video.
During the night attack on Odesa, many drones failed to reach their targets thanks to the active work of the Air Defense Forces. Skilled machine gunners from mobile fire groups once again demonstrated their expertise in shooting down UAVs.
This was reported by the 'South'.
Details of the air battle
The military shot down one of the enemy strike UAVs during the attack on Odesa. Reconnaissance assets timely detected the drone, allowing the Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel to hit it accurately with a heavy machine gun. As a result, the UAV exploded in the sky before reaching its target.
It is noted that this was the fourth 'Shahed' destroyed by Mykola, who was behind the machine gun. He learned the military profession at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Before that, he repaired car engines.
'Before the full-scale Russian invasion, Mykola was the owner of a car service. He personally repaired cars - fixed engines, adjusted brakes', the military report states.
Attack on July 22
As a result of the drone attack on July 22, a fire broke out in a parking lot in one of the city districts. Cars and an administrative building were burning. Rescuers quickly extinguished the fire. The blast wave also shattered windows in apartment buildings, destroyed a supermarket, and a gym. A 41-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized with a mine-explosive injury.
Recall that recently we wrote about what Odesa residents experienced that night. And also about how the military shoot down drones and missiles.
