Putin Will Not Stop at Donbas: Portnikov on the Logic of Russia's Aggression.
According to ТСН: Ukrainian publicist Vitaliy Portnikov believes that after the US recognized Donbas and Crimea as 'Russian', Russia will not stop at what it has achieved.
He expressed his opinion in an interview on the YouTube channel 'Kuluary Zabeliny'.
Portnikov noted that Russia will continue its aggression after the complete occupation of Donbas. 'Today you recognize four regions, and tomorrow the Russian army will occupy Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Poltava. They (the US — ed.) recognize this too. No recognition of Ukraine is needed, because soon there will be no Ukraine. No Ukraine, no problem. This is the logic. And from the point of view of aggression, it is absolutely correct,' said the publicist.
He also emphasized that the Russian dictator Putin has no intention of agreeing to a peace treaty or ending the war against Ukraine.
These comments by Portnikov underscore the seriousness of the situation and highlight potential risks for Ukraine in the face of escalating aggression from Russia. The international community, particularly the US, faces a difficult choice in its foreign policy, as recognition of territorial changes could have far-reaching consequences for security in the region.
