Anticyclone brings abnormal warmth to Ukraine: what consequences await.

According to ТСН: At the beginning of December, the weather conditions in central Ukraine will be determined by a powerful atmospheric anticyclone. This high-pressure system has created a barrier that prevents dangerous weather phenomena from entering the region.

Forecaster Vitaliy Postryhan noted on his Facebook page that the anticyclone has practically hindered cyclonic vortices over Northern, Western and Southern Europe. As a result, southern air currents dominate our region.

Abnormal warmth and "blocking" of rains

These air masses maintain a high temperature anomaly. However, such weather also has negative consequences - dense fogs are forming. Thus, the autumn of 2025 ends mostly with overcast weather.

In the coming days, no significant changes are expected. The temperature will remain high for this time of year: in the night, temperatures are forecasted to be 2-7° warm, and during the day - 4-9° warm. Only occasionally atmospheric fronts may bring light rains.

Yellow hazard level: warning for drivers

The main danger in the coming days will be dense autumn fogs. They make the road surface wet and slippery, and also reduce visibility on the road.

As of December 1, a warning has been issued in Cherkasy Oblast and the city of Cherkasy about dangerous meteorological phenomena (Level I danger, yellow); forecasters predict fog with visibility of 200-500 meters.

Vitaliy Postryhan urges road users to exercise maximum caution.

"In the conditions of a short daylight and the decrease in the height of the sun, it is necessary to be especially careful not only for drivers but also for pedestrians," emphasizes the forecaster.

The expert also recommends that pedestrians take care of their visibility. Reflective elements (flickers) on clothing, backpacks or bags will make a person noticeable from afar. This small detail in foggy weather or twilight can save a life.

It should be noted that the end of autumn and the beginning of winter in Ukraine are marked by unprecedented warmth. Forecasters warn of a temperature anomaly at the beginning of winter.
